An automatic backup schedule initiates the backup process. The schedule is set to take a full backup at 1:10am every day, then between 7:00am and 8:00pm hourly differential backups.
Full backups are performed on the following cycles: Weekly backups – kept for one month Monthly backups – kept for 6 months Quarterly backups – kept for 12 months Half yearly backups – kept for 2 years Yearly backup – kept indefinitely
Yes. Backups are distributed across multiple Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres for redundancy.
No. Backups are pushed only to distributed data centers within the customer's approved region using Amazon S3 storage and with end to end HTTPS.
Yes. Backups are encrypted on purpose-built storage devices (Amazon S3 using AES-256 encryption).
Risk Wizard undertake testing of backups on a quarterly basis. This includes restoring the backups to ensure the integrity of the backup and restore process.
Worst case scenario, in the event of a disaster, our cloud infrastructure can be requisitioned and rebuilt from code in approximately 2 hours. We estimate around 1 hour is required to start this process in an emergency. Databases then take 1 hour to to be recovered.
Copies of backups can be provided, however a separate fee would need to be agreed dependent on how often these are provided.
